Dr. Hira Ahluwalia is president of Material Selection Resources Inc. He holds a Ph.D. in materials and corrosion engineering from Newcastle University, U.K. His areas of expertise include material selection, corrosion testing, metallurgy, and failure analysis. A 15-year ASM and NACE member, Ahluwalia is a program coordinator of the NACE Technical Coordination Committee and is a member of the Annual Conference Program Committee. Andrew Obertanec is Vice President of Business Development for L.J. Star, Inc. He has 30 years of experience in the area of process observation equipment. He is a member of ISPE and sits on subcommittees and task groups of the ASME-BPE Committee. He may be reached at aobertanec@ljstar.com.

Harvey C. Travers, is a consulting engineer based in Little Falls, NJ. He has had a long career in the processing industry, and is an expert on the application of glass and metal. His experience includes 25 years with Corning Glass Works as a Senior Associate and work with several respected engineering design firms, including Lockwood Greene, Treadwell Corp., CH2M-Hill, Hatch Associates, Pharmaplan, Gannett Fleming, SNCLavalin, and Advanced Automation Association. He is affiliated with the AIChE and ISPE, has sat on the Chem Engineering Advisory Panel; and he has been a lecturer with the American Electroplaters Association.
